SELF PORTRAIT - BEV SANDERS
---------------------------------------------------
I describe myself as..........
small. When I asked others about this they said indescribable, musical, ironic,
sarcastic.
Music changed me............
I dance to it, sing it, listen to it, dream it. It's everything from the head
banging, heavy metal youth through crying to the beautiful voice of Andreas
Scholl.
It's singing with my family and allowing people to move me. It's changed me a lot.
When I'm not making music.............
I knit for a living and work in a college to pay my mortgage. I also go nuts
when people spell things wrong and if you ever say "guesstimate"
or "nucular" I may resort to violence!
The last time I was embarrassed was..................
being caught canoodling by my kids. It was recent.
The last time I cried............
meeting up with an old friend after an argument and several years. Happy tears.
The best book I've read..............
Cannery Row - John Steinbeck. They organise a party and it all goes wrong.
They organise another. That's it.
My biggest vice is......................
I can't say. I also like red wine and swearing.
My most treasured possession...............
I have a black kimono that my parents bought for my 16th birthday. It still
fits.
Little mementos of the kids when they were small.
Is the glass half empty or half full?..........
at the moment half full. Actually heading towards the brim. I tend to think
things are better than they are though, despite all evidence to the contrary.
My biggest regret is.........
not seeing Nic Jones live. Wasting far too much time on lost causes, not having
my teeth straightened when I could've done.
I'd like to be remembered as.....
soon as I've left the room!
When we die..........
we just close our eyes and let go. If we've done our best, we'll be ready
for the rest. (Chris Wood - not me, but I'll go with it)
