Pete Rimmer

Pete Rimmer has been a member of the
Bothy since 1967 in those heady days of the folk boom.
In those years he has been involved in most of the folk events in the Southport
area such concerts at the Arts Centre, Southport Theatre and Floral Hall Church
Hall, Pubs clubs and festivals and even a residency at Shirdly Hill Women's
Institute. He has also played with various barn dance bands, duos with Bev
Sanders and Bill Hackney, backing guitarist with anyone who will put up with
him.
Pete also is the director of Ormskirk Comes Alive Festival and runs Abacus
Music Agency in Ormskirk.
Pete has a quite a few recordings available and performs on CDs with Bill
Hackney, Gallimaufry, and the Jill Fielding Band and others. Pete also plays
on all 6 of Geoff Parry's CDs
Along with Sarah Marks and Roger Gardiner make up Gallimaufry a trio who perform
all over the North West. Their album is Kid on the Mountain.
Pete has a couple of solo albums Fill My Pockets
With Rain and a brand
new CD Donovan Songs.
The title says it all a full album of songs by Donovan.

That tells you about Pete Rimmer, what it doesn't tell you is how much Pete
appreciates being a member of the Bothy team, nearly 40 years is long time,
but well worth it.
