The Southport Swords are hosting the Sword Dance Union Longsword Tournament and AGM in Southport on Saturday 8th October 2022. Teams It appears likely that we will have around 5 teams: These four are competing Southport, Sallyport, Handsworth, Mersey Only displaying Speelschaar Ossaart Registration will be at the Guest House from 11am. Tea, coffee, beer will be available to buy. Warm up tours from 11-30am Venue for the Competition, display and AGM The venue is the Scarisbrick Hotel, Lord St, Isherwood Room on the first floor. It is booked for 2pm until 6pm. There is room for up to 100 seated cabaret style around the dance floor. The floor is well big enough for display, in the round. It is a wooden, ballroom floor. The Barons Bar will be open, we think from 2:30 . The competition followed by the AGM will be in the Isherwood or Lounge. Friday Night For those there on Friday night. We will meet for an informal get together at the Mason’s Arms Anchor St, from about 8pm. We may or may not progress to somewhere else. Saturday Night We are meeting, eating and socialising at the Guest House, Union St, 7pm. Hotpot and veggie option for those that have ordered in advance. There will be a music session during the evening. Sallyport plan a rapper tour. |
